Scientists Have Discovered The First 2D Magnet

Researchers from the University of Washington and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have discovered a two-dimensional magnetized material for the first time. As reported in Nature, the material known as chromium triiodide (CrI3) is highly magnetic even when its in a 2D configuration.
